Mini Kit: How is Substance Abuse Determined?



Each Mini Kit has three experiment kits for six students (3 groups of 2 students) for small classes, informal sciences, and home schools. Designed by experienced master teachers and university scientists.

Examples of substance abuse to enhance muscle mass for athletic performance are readily available. A second group of substances often result in addictive behavior that destroys the lives of individual and family members. This experiment is a simulation. Students have the opportunity to test for a substance that is often detected in urine.

Includes: Control and patient samples for both urine and blood plasma, reagents for testing the suspected simulated substance, content background, experiment procedures, safety information and assessment questions and answers.
