In this experiment, cheek cells are obtained by a series of steps performed to extract DNA. DNA is collected and transferred to a tube, which can be stored. It can also be used as a pendant on a string necklace to wear. (DNA cannot be used for legal purposes.)

 

Includes: Lysis buffer, Cotton swabs, NaCl, Protease enzyme, Methylene Blue Plus™ stain, Calibrated transfer pipets, Microtip transfer pipets, Test tubes, Gene Tubes™, String, content background, experiment procedures, safety information and assessment questions and answers.
