How is Substance Abuse Determined?
(Components for 6 experiments)

Examples of substance abuse to enhance muscle mass for athletic performance are readily available. Unfortunately, this serves as a negative role model to school age students who wish to excel in athletics. A second group of substances often results in addictive behavior that destroys the lives of individuals as well as other family members. In this experiment, students have the opportunity to test for a substance that is often detected with a urine or blood test. No human or animal urine or blood samples are used for either the control or patient samples.
Includes: Control and patient samples for both urine and
blood plasma, reagents for testing the suspected simulated substance, content background,
experiment procedures, safety information and assessment questions and answers.
