DNA Concept Set^TM

(Components for 6 groups of students)

 

DNA carries the genetic information that provides information needed for cell function, proliferation and division. It also serves for various diagnostic tests for determination of inherited and predisposition to diseases. This Concept Set™ provides discovery-based experiments that introduce students to various aspects of DNA that include extraction from various fruits and vegetables and from their own cheek cells to store in test tube pendants. Four color beads are provided for DNA model and necklace building. Content background, experiment procedures and assessment questions and answers are included. Details are provided in the individual experiment descriptions.
